I have taken to carrying my laptop with me in hopes of having ideas come to me so I can type them instead of either forgetting them or writing them on a piece of paper that may or may not get lost in a pile of other paper, or lost in general. However, I tend to find myself in social situations where others have commented that using devices around others is rude and so on and so forth.
